Rotary brings together more than 1.2 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers through more than 45,000 clubs. Members build relationships, exchange ideas, and take action in their own communities while contributing to a larger global effort.
Since 1905
Built on connection, strengthened by service
Rotary began in Chicago when attorney Paul Harris gathered professionals to exchange ideas and form meaningful friendships. As the organization grew, clubs added community and humanitarian service to their work. Today, that original spirit of fellowship and action connects members around the world.
